Honest Conversations That Lead to Meaningful Change

Therapy That Keeps It Real
(And Actually Helps)

About

Hi, I'm Emily

glad you are here!

If you’re low-key tired of your own patterns but also tired of everyone else’s opinions - you’ve come to the right place.

I work with older teens and adults who want to vent, tell the truth and figure out WTF is really going on. You don’t have to filter yourself here.

About Me

I am a licensed therapist with over 12 years of experience helping teens, adults and families navigate trauma, anxiety, relationships and life transitions. If you’re exhausted from living in other people’s expectations, constantly second-guessing yourself or struggling to set boundaries without guilt - you’re in the right spot.

I’ve always been fascinated by how people think, feel and behave, and why. I love the therapeutic process: slowing down, noticing patterns and turning insight into change. Helping someone feel understood and begin to see themselves more clearly is powerful.

Working with diverse populations of children, adolescents, adults and families across private practice, schools and community mental health has taught me to honor each person’s individuality while recognizing the systems and pressures that make change complicated.

I help people reclaim parts of themselves that were buried, silenced or shaped by painful experiences. My role is to walk alongside you as we make sense of both/and.

Outside of the office I enjoy thrifting nostalgic decor, walking with my pit-mix Java, puzzles, cooking from my garden and crushing my Goodreads book challenge goal (millennial to grandma-core pipeline much?).

Let's talk!

Focus

What We Can Work on Together

People Pleasing & Over Functioning

Always putting others first? Burnt out from carrying too much? We’ll unpack patterns, reclaim your energy, and practice saying no guilt-free.

Chronic Overwhelm

Life piling up? Stressed, exhausted, barely keeping it together? We’ll untangle what’s weighing on you and build practical ways to restore clarity and balance.

Complicated Family Dynamics

If you grew up feeling responsible for others’ emotions, stuck in guilt or unsure where you end and they begin, this work is for you. We’ll untangle enmeshment, shift old roles, and reclaim your boundaries so you can engage on your terms.

Women Who Are Childfree by Choice

Society, friends, and family will question, judge or pressure you. Therapy gives you an affirming, non-negotiable space to process it, stay grounded and live fully aligned with your choice.

College & Early Adulthood

College, early career, independence - these transitions are messy. Vent, sort through the chaos, and build confidence in yourself as you navigate what comes next.

Identity, Values & Self Discovery

Who are you? What do you want? Explore your values, identity, social roles, gender, sexuality and other parts of yourself - and learn to show up authentically in the world.

My Approach

My Approach

I approach mental health & wellness from a holistic perspective and recognize the whole person: physical, mental, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual.

I embrace clients from various backgrounds, cultures, races, sexualities, gender identities, body sizes & abilities and deeply value the diverse and unique intersectionality of these identities. I acknowledge my privilege and commit to ongoing accountability in how my identities and experiences shape our work together.

I’m compassionate and direct. If you’re looking for someone to quietly nod without feedback, I’m not the best fit. You can expect honesty, perspective and humor.

I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities and tailor our work to your specific goals and needs.

In my practice I use:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Psychodynamic Theory

  • Mindfulness-Based Practices

  • Person-Centered Therapy

  • Solution Focused Therapy

  • Health At Every Size® (HAES) Framework

  • Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)

My work is trauma informed, culturally responsive, liberation oriented, strengths based, LGBTQIA+ affirming, neurodiversity affirming, anti-racist and anti-fascist.

Why don't you take insurance?

Because I don’t let insurance companies run the show.

No insurance means no hoops, no rules, no denied claims and no getting shortchanged. I don’t outsource your care - or your personal information - to a corporation. I believe in therapy that actually works for you.
